The international association for the philosophy of time was founded in 2011. It comprises the Centre for Time, the Centre for the Philosophy of Time, in Milan, and the Society for the Philosophy of Time, in the US. It aims to bring together researchers from around the world to collaborate through joint ventures, workshops, and conferences.

The IAPT runs a yearly conference, mid-year, which rotates location from the US, Australasia, and Europe.
